While comparing 2 numbers you must follow the steps:
1. The number with more digits is greater than the other number.
2. If the numbers to be compared have same number of digits, then start comparing digits at the highest place first and so on.
3. The number having greater digit at the highest place is greater. If the digits are equal, then compare are next place. Continuing like this, come to the digits at the lowest place if all other digits are equal.
For example:
2,456 and 45,678
Look at these 2 numbers; 2,456 has 4 digits while 45,678 has 5 digits.
Therefore, 2,456 < 45,678
