Writing in Expanded Form

Writing in Expanded Form
Writing a number as the sum of place values of its digits is called its Expanded Form.
Eg: let us write 2568 in Expanded Form.
Place value of 8 is 8 ones = 8
Place value of 6 is 6 tens =60
Place value of 5 is 5 hundreds =500
Place value of 2 is 2 thousands =2000
Thus, the expanded form of 2568= 2000+500+60+8
We can also write this as 2 thousands + 5 hundreds + 6 tens + 8 ones in expanded form.
